Last updated: 18 August 2026

This policy explains how ASAP Boiler Repair London collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website or book an engineer. We are the “data controller” for that information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

ASAP Boiler Repair London is a trading name of BoilerRepairsRUs, which is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any question about this policy, or want to exercise any of the rights set out below, contact us by email at info@asapboilerrepair.co.uk or by phone on 0203 868 6134.

What information we collect

Information you give us

When you complete a contact or booking form, or call or email us, we collect your name, telephone number, email address, the address where work is needed, and any details you give us about your boiler or the problem you are experiencing.

Information collected automatically

When you visit this website we collect your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the website or search term that brought you here. This is collected through Google Analytics and through standard web server logs.

Cookies and analytics

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example which pages are most visited and which boiler brands people search for. These are analytics cookies and they are not essential to the site working, so we only set them where you have given consent.

Google Analytics records your activity in a way that does not directly identify you, but your IP address and device details are processed by Google as part of it. You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can block it entirely using Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not stop you using this website or booking an engineer.

Who we share your information with

  • Our engineers — the engineer attending your job receives your name, address, phone number and job details.
  • Our billing and administration provider — who processes bookings, invoices and job records on our behalf.
  • Google — as our analytics provider, described above.
  • Our website host — who stores the site and its server logs on our behalf.
  • Our accountant and HMRC — where invoices and payment records require it.
  • Gas Safe Register — where we are required to notify or record gas work.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Transfers outside the UK

Google Analytics may process data on servers outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which are legal safeguards designed to give your information the same protection it has in the UK.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become jobs — 12 months, then deleted.
  • Customer and job records — 6 years after the work, to cover the limitation period for claims.
  • Gas safety records and certificates — at least 2 years, in line with gas safety regulations.
  • Invoices and payment records — 6 years, as required for tax.
  • Website analytics — 14 months, then automatically deleted by Google.
  • Server logs — up to 12 months.

Keeping your information safe

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to customer records is limited to staff and engineers who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach occurs that is likely to put your rights at risk, we will tell you and the Information Commissioner’s Office without undue delay.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • ask us to delete information we no longer need;
  • ask us to restrict how we use your information;
  • object to us using your information on the basis of legitimate interests;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these, email info@asapboilerrepair.co.uk. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.

Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 16.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office:
