One number, answered 24 hours a day, by somebody technical.

Answered 24 hours a day by a technical customer service member, not a call centre.

No heating or hot water right now? Call 0203 868 6134. We will tell you the earliest realistic slot rather than the one you want to hear.

How to reach us

Three ways, and the first one is much the fastest.
  1. Telephone, 0203 868 6134Answered 24 hours a day, every day of the year, by somebody who works on boilers rather than somebody reading from a script. If the heating has gone, this is the one to use. You will get an answer about timing before the call is a minute old.
  2. Request a call backThe form further down this page. Two details to start, and the rest is optional. It reaches us the moment you send it and we ring you back. Useful if you are at work, or if it is not urgent enough to stop what you are doing.
  3. Email, info@asapboilerrepair.co.ukBest for paperwork rather than breakdowns: certificates, invoices, a landlord portfolio, anything with an attachment. Please do not email a boiler that has stopped. Ring instead.

There is nothing you need to do before you ring. You do not need the model number, the fault code or the paperwork. If you have them they help, and if you do not we will work it out on the call. 0203 868 6134.

What happens when you call

Three steps. The first one usually tells us most of it.
  1. Where you are, and what it is doingPlus one more question: is there a hot water cylinder in an airing cupboard? That single answer decides whether we are diagnosing one appliance or two, and it changes what we bring.
  2. The likely part, and a realistic slotWe tell you what has probably failed and when somebody can be there. If we cannot reach you today we say so on the phone, rather than after you have waited in all afternoon.
  3. Nothing starts until you have agreed the costThe engineer runs a full diagnostic, then puts the fault, the part and the labour in writing. Nothing proceeds until you have seen it, and parts are guaranteed for a year.
If a repair is not worth doing, we will say so on the phone. A fifteen year old boiler with a failed main heat exchanger is a replacement conversation, and pretending otherwise helps nobody. That answer costs nothing.

Opening hours

There are none. That is the point.
Day Telephone line
Monday 24 hours
Tuesday 24 hours
Wednesday 24 hours
Thursday 24 hours
Friday 24 hours
Saturday 24 hours
Sunday 24 hours
Bank holidays 24 hours
A boiler does not check the calendar before it fails. The line is answered through the night and over Christmas, and it is answered by a technical customer service member rather than an answering service taking a message for the morning. What changes overnight is not whether somebody picks up, it is what we can honestly promise. At two in the morning we will tell you plainly whether this is a tonight job or a first-thing job, and we would rather say the second than have you sit up waiting. Read more about how that works on our emergency boiler repair page.

Two details to start. Add your postcode and what the boiler is doing and we can usually tell you the likely part before we attend.

No obligation. If you have a cylinder we tell you whether it is the boiler or the cylinder before any work is agreed.

We use your details only to respond to your enquiry. See our privacy policy.

Where we come

Every London postcode, north and south of the river.
There is no map on this page with a line drawn round it. We work in Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Hammersmith and Fulham, Wandsworth, Lambeth, Southwark, Barnet, Ealing, Richmond upon Thames, Kingston, Greenwich, Bromley and Sutton, and in every other borough as well, and in the City. We come to you. There is no trade counter and no waiting room, because a boiler cannot be brought in. The van carries the common parts, so a great many faults are finished on the first visit rather than becoming a second appointment for a part. Some areas have a page of their own, which is only because the housing there follows a pattern worth explaining. If yours has no page it makes no difference to whether we come. The full list is on areas we cover, with north London and south London gathered separately.

These are where we work most, not a boundary. An engineer attends anywhere in north London and south London. Tell us where you are and we will say plainly when we can get to you.

Tell us the address and we will be honest about timing

Where you are, what the boiler is doing, and whether there is a cylinder in an airing cupboard. Those three answers usually tell us what has failed before anybody sets off.

Gas emergency, and what to do first
If you smell gas: do not touch any switches. Open the windows, leave the property, then call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. That line is free and open 24 hours. Call them before you call us. If a carbon monoxide alarm is sounding: get everyone out immediately, then call 999 if anyone feels unwell. Do not go back in until the property has been ventilated and checked. If the boiler locks out repeatedly: try one reset. If it locks out again straight away, stop. Repeated resets hide a fault that is still there, and on a gas appliance that is not a risk worth taking. Under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, only a Gas Safe registered engineer may work on gas appliances. Never open the boiler casing yourself.

Common questions

Is the phone really answered at night?

Yes, every night of the year, and by a technical customer service member rather than an answering service taking a message for the morning. What changes overnight is what we can honestly promise. At two in the morning we will tell you plainly whether this is a tonight job or a first-thing job.

Do you have an office or a shop I can come to?

No, and deliberately so. We come to you. There is no trade counter and no waiting room, because a boiler cannot be brought in. Everything is arranged on the telephone and the engineer attends the property.

What should I have ready before I ring?

Nothing. The address and a rough description of what the boiler is doing is plenty. If you happen to know the make, or whether there is a hot water cylinder in an airing cupboard, that speeds things up, but neither is needed to make the call.

Will I know the cost before you start?

Yes. The rate is agreed on the phone before anybody sets off, and the engineer gives you a written breakdown of the fault, the part and the labour before any repair begins. Nothing goes ahead until you have seen it.

How quickly can somebody get to me?

It depends on where you are and what time it is, and you will get a straight answer on the call rather than an optimistic one. If we cannot reach you today we say so on the phone, not after you have waited in.

I am a landlord with several properties. Who do I speak to?

The same number. Certificates and any repair the appliance needs are done on the same visit where it passes, so a let property is not off the market twice. See landlord gas safety certificates. For a portfolio, email is often easier than the phone.

Can I email instead of calling?

For paperwork, yes: info@asapboilerrepair.co.uk. For a boiler that has stopped, please ring. Email is checked in working hours and a breakdown deserves a faster answer than that.
